Obituary

Thomas Edward Hazlett, 71, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1950, to the late LeRoy Edward and Margaret Martha (White) Hazlett in Punxsutawney. Thomas graduated from high school and proudly served his country with the US National Guard. Thomas married Janet Elaine Rorabaugh on May 24, 1975, in Revloc, PA; Janet survives him. He was a self-employed truck driver throughout his career and loved what he did. Thomas was a member of the Rossiter Sportsmen’s Club as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1231 in Punxsutawney. Thomas loved to shoot for sport and was an accomplished shooter, he especially loved target and skeet shooting. He will be dearly missed by his family and community. In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by two sons; LeRoy E. Hazlett; Jacob Hazlett; two grandchildren; Parker Hazlett; Cayden Hazlett; and six siblings; Melinda Fairman; Howard Hartzfield Sr.; Sheilah Hartzfield; Ronald Hartzfield; Brian Hartzfield; and William Hartzfield. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in passing by one brother, Robert Hazlett. Services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
