Patricia "Pat" Alexandria (Borthwick) Hinderliter

Patricia “Pat” Alexandra (Borthwick) Hinderliter, 82, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, while a resident of Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 7, 1940, to the late William Elliott and Helmi Alexandria (Olgren) Borthwick in Meadville, PA. She graduated from Punxsutawney High School with the class of 1958. Pat married Kenneth James Hinderliter on June 20, 1959, in Coolspring, PA; Kenneth preceded her in passing. Pat was a member of the Grange Church of God. She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Punxsutawney. Pat returned to school in her sixties and received an associate degree from DuBois Business College. Pat worked throughout her life and spent many years with Rola-Jensen in Punxsutawney, she most recently worked for Utilities and Industries in Reynoldsville, PA. When not engaged in her favorite pastime of spending time with her family and friends, Pat loved spending time outdoors. She greatly enjoyed hunting, camping, crocheting, and cooking for others. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Pat is survived by one son; James E. (Michele) Hinderliter of Harrisburg, PA; three grandchildren; Joshua Hinderliter; Elise Gregory; and Kristen Hinderliter, all of Harrisburg; and one brother; William E. Borthwick of Irving, TX. In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in passing by one sister; Alma B. Borthwick. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm at the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Pastor Marcus John.
