Mary L. (Rinaldi) Scolese

Mary L. (Rinaldi) Scolese, 91, passed away peacefully at Penn Highlands DuBois on September 23, 2021. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she peacefully crossed into heaven. She was born on March 20, 1930, to the late Sebastiano Ricardo and Ramona (Sorbelli) Rinaldi. Mary was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #540. She was an avid bowler for over twenty years. She enjoyed playing bingo and liked to cook for her family.

She is preceded in death by husband, Anthony Scolese, son, John Scolese and son in law, James Buskirk. She left behind five children, Nancy Buskirk of Reynoldsville, Toni (Michael) Buchheit of Ridgway, Diana (Al) Polehonki of California, Rosie (Eugene) Leach of Reynoldsville, Sherry (Chris Moore) Scolese of Reynoldsville, daughter-in-law, Linda Scolese of Reynoldsville, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no public viewing. A public Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 11am and officiated by Father William Barron. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA.
