Lana Hetrick Obituary

Lana Diane (Chittester) Hetrick, 74, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, while a resident of the DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, PA. Lana was born on June 3, 1948, to the late David Ray and Beula Bell Chittester in Brookville. She graduated from the Brookville Area High School with the Class of 1966. On February 12, 1971, Lana married Terry Lee Hetrick in Brookville; Terry survives her. She was a member of the Brookville Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Lana loved children and was a babysitter for 36 years at her home in Brookville. She always had a smile on her face and loved to do cross word puzzles and bake sugar cookies. She loved God and being a great person to others. Lana always treated people the way she wanted to be treated. She would do anything for anyone, and the door was always open. Above all else, Lana loved her family. She was a loving mom, grandma, and great – grandma and will forever be known for giving the best hugs. In addition to her husband, Lana is survived by twin daughters; Tina Marie Matthews and Tricia Ann (David) Whaley; son; Jason Lee (Denise) Hetrick; one sister; Rae Jean (Calvin) Davie; five grandchildren; Markelle Dianna Marie Matthews, Jordan Thomas Lee Matthews, Ashtin Nathyn Scott Matthews, Benjamin David Whaley, and Jason Paul Hetrick. Lana is also survived by two great – grandchildren; Mackley Parker Thomas Matthews and Maddyn Carl Lee Matthews. In addition to her parents, Lana is preceded in passing by her in – laws; Frank and Betty Hetrick. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 4pm – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A second viewing will be held on July 9, 2022, from 10am – 11am at the Brookville Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 59 Stone Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held immediately following the second viewing beginning at 11am and officiated by her brother – in – law; Pastor Calvin Davie and her sister; Rae Jean. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the UPMC Altoona ICU Trauma – Surgical Unit, 620 Howard Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, to the Brookville Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 59 Stone Rd., Brookville, PA 15825, or to the DuBois Nursing Home, 212 S. 8th Street, DuBois, PA 15801.
