Irvin "Dick" Richard Fike

Irvin Richard “Dick” Fike, 82, of Coolspring, PA, passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, March 29, 2021, while a resident at Laurelbrooke Landing. Dick was born on September 15, 1938, to the late Irvin Isaac and Lula Frances (Plyler) Fike in Coolspring, PA. Dick graduated from Punxsutawney High School with the Class of 1957. Later that year he married Dorothy Joan Powell on November 26, 1957; she preceded him in death on August 12, 2014. Dick was a hard working man who spent his time working as a laborer, drain cleaner, and an excavator. He was a member of the Coolspring United Methodist Church and the Coolspring Senior Center. Dick is survived by two sons; Randy Lee (Karen) Fike of Reynoldsville; Richard Wayne (Carol) Fike of Summerville; sister Lois Dobson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Dick is preceded in death by sister; Valjean Fike; and brother Ronald Fike. Services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. Final interment will take place at Coolspring Cemetery, Summerville, PA 15864, Oliver Township, Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Coolspring Methodist Church, 56 E Branch Rd, Brookville, PA 15825 and the Coolspring Senior Center, 324 Coolspring Rd Coolspring, PA 15730.
