Helen Edith Clontz

Helen Edith Clontz, 95, of DuBois, PA, passed away on October 7, 2021, while a resident at Nelson’s Golden Years in DuBois. She was born on August 26, 1926, to the late Frank E. and Lottie (Goodyear) Snyder in Rathmel, PA. Helen attended and graduated from school in the Reynoldsville area. Helen married George Ruben Clontz on October 30, 1944, in Tonawanda, NY; George preceded her in passing. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reynoldsville, PA. Helen’s personality can be encompassed in one statement, she was “the most excellent grandma a grandchild could have.” Helen is survived by four grandchildren; James (Maya) Schneider; Robin Schneider-Broussard; Kathy (Jason) Powenski; William (Andrea) Schneider; and nine great grandchildren; Andrea (Leo Ayres) Schneider; Edward Schneider; André Broussard; George Broussard; Elizabeth Schneider; Megan Schneider; Sarah Powenski; Melissa Powenski; and Paul Schneider. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in passing by one daughter; Linda A. (Clontz) Schneider; one son in law; Paul F. Schneider; six brothers; Sherman L. Snyder; Wayne J. Snyder; Guy E. Snyder; William F. Snyder; Donald E. Snyder; Ronald G. Snyder; and one grandson in law; Simon Broussard. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 4pm to 6pm at the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA, 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing beginning at 6pm and officiated by Pastor Ben Austin. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Reynoldsville Trinity Lutheran Church, 329 Jackson Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
