Harold A. Johnson

Harold A. Johnson, 77, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, while a resident of Nelsons Golden Years in DuBois, PA. Harold was born on January 16, 1945, to the late William “Newt” and Mary (Knisley) Johnson in Ridgway, PA. He graduated from Ridgway Area High School with the Class of 1963 and proudly served with the United States Navy. Harold married Barbara Broemmer in 1981 in Brockway, PA; Barbara preceded him in passing June 28, 2018. All of his life, Harold worked as a mechanic and as a truck driver. Harold retired from Earth Movers in 2015. He loved to work on semi-trucks and cars. He was a huge fanatic of cars and enjoyed regularly going to car shows. Harold also enjoyed spending his free time watching western shows, reading western books, or listening to country music. Harold is survived by three children; Donald (Amy) Johnson, JoAnn Johnson, and Steven (Evette) Johnson; four step-children; Melissa Becker, Mark Lopez, Michele Lopez, and Michael Lopez; two brothers; Robert Johnson and Daniel Johnson. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Harold is preceded in passing by two brothers; Steven Johnson and Billy Johnson; and two sisters; Marlene Terwilliger and Sandy Priest. All funeral services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
