Gary Z. Burkett, 81, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born on May 12, 1939, to the late Franklin Burkett and Myrtle (Smith) Bailey. Gary was an avid musician. He also belonged to the Reynoldsville American Legion #392 and the Reynoldsville Eagles #540. He retired from National Fuel in Clarion, PA, after many years of service. Gary married Heidi (Mielke) Burkett on October 10, 1987, she survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; Terri McCartney; Valerie (Joe) Toney; four step children; Mike (Janette) Gibson; Meschall (Bradley) Roy; Martin (Amanda) Gibson; Leroy (Lorraine Longwell) Serafini; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by two brothers; Franklin Burkett; William Burkett; sister; Joyce Cribbs; and grandson; Michael Edwards. Services will be held privately by the family and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 516 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. Final interment will be held at Smith Cemetery, Hormtown, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the donor’s choice.
