On Sunday, June 6, Gary Lynn Barr passed away peacefully in his home after his long and brave battle with cancer.
Gary was reunited in Heaven with his parents, Oscar and Velma Barr, and four grandparents, Charles and Flora Geer and Howard and Florence Barr.
Gary's loved ones on Earth that mourn him include his wife, Bea Barr, his two daughters, Kristyn Stage and Shannon (Joseph) Rittenhouse, his four stepchildren, Mollie (Daniel) Smith, Jeffrey McKinney, Michele Miller, and Louie Kunselman, his two sisters, Vonnie (Glenn) Shaffer and Crystal (Denny) Cochran, his 15 grandchildren, Alyssa and Hayden Snyder; Hannah, Alaina, and Meghan Rittenhouse; Erika and Kaylynn McKinney; Shawn (Megan) and Brett Smith; Sydney, Clayton, and Abigail Miller; and Keelan, Bryce, and Brayden Kunselman; and his two great-grandchildren Isbea and Olena (Shawn and Megan) Smith.
Gary was a kind and gentle soul who loved enjoying life by spending time with friends and family, playing cards and bingo, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed officiating sporting events for 26 years and spending time in the woods. He retired from Owens-Illinois/Rexam after 37 years.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 2pm to 6pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 14, 2021, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Pastor J. Ray Baker.
