Frances Arlene (Aber) Stahlman

Frances Arlene (Aber) Stahlman, 89, originally of Coolspring, PA, followed by Hamburg, NY, and most recently Santa Clarita, CA, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Atria Assisted Living, in Santa Clarita, CA. She was born on October 26, 1932, to the late Merritt D. and Nellie E. (Miller) Aber in Jefferson County, PA. Frances married Howard “Grant” Stahlman on November 26, 1953, in Greenville, PA; Grant preceded her in passing. Frances enjoyed her work as a school cafeteria cook in Hamburg, NY. Frances loved to sing and there was hardly a word or sight that didn’t prompt her to break into song.  She also loved yard sales, and accumulated many, many treasures which she generously passed on to family and friends. Frances is survived by two children; Dewey (Karen) Stahlman of North Collins, NY; and Jacqueline (Robert “Bob”) Dale of Santa Clarita, CA; a sister Judy (Bill) Hulett of Sinclairville, NY; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in passing by two sisters; Donna Fleming and Phyllis Neal. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 1pm to 3pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11am and officiated by Pastor Chuck Jack.
