Elizabeth "Betty" L. McGreevey

Elizabeth “Betty” L. McGreevey, 93, passed away in the morning hours of November 15, 2021, while a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. Betty was born on March 10, 1928, to the late Raymond and Irene (Makovics) McGreevey in Donora, PA. She graduated from Reynoldsville High School with the Class of 1945. After graduation she worked as an office manager at Humphrey Charcoal. She also worked at the Former Community First Bank in Reynoldsville, PA. She was the former treasurer for the Reynoldsville Public Library. Betty was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society in Reynoldsville, PA, Town and Gown Players, and Women’s Club of Reynoldsville. She had been a member of several music groups and participated in the United Way Presentations. Betty enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Salamanca. Betty is survived by two sisters; Joan McGreevey of Fishertown, PA; Aloyse McGreevey of Reynoldsville, PA; one brother Robert McGreevey of Las Vegas, NV; and several cousins. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 3 to 7pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 11am and officiated by Father William Barron. Internment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA.
