Charles "Skip" G. Lutz

Charles G. “Skip” Lutz, 72, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, while at his home with his beloved wife by his side. Charles was born on June 17, 1949, to the late Guilford Frank and Marjorie Marie (Lowe) Lutz in Berwick Nova Scotia, Canada. He moved from Nova Scotia to Springfield, Massachusetts in 1952, when he was three years old. Charles attended and graduated from Springfield Public Schools. While he was still in high school, he went to work for the Equitable Life Insurance Company. He also worked for John H. Breck Company, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, NCR Corporation, AT&T, and eventually retired from Fiserv Corporation in 2009. On August 23, 1969, Charles married Barbara Anne Nunes in Springfield, Massachusetts. Barbara survives him after 52 loving years of marriage. Charles enjoyed building things with wood and refurbishing old antique clocks, he also loved to collect trains along with pocket watches. He enjoyed anything musical, especially organs and autoharps. Charles loved all kinds of animals, especially horses. He liked to bake; he made the best fudge. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by two sisters; Linda Bissonnette of West Springfield, MA and Marlene Menard of Westfield, MA; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and his loving pets, Callie-Girl, Rikki, and Angel. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded by one brother; Leon Lutz. Services will be held privately by the family and have been entrusted to the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Paw Safe Animal Rescue, 311 Route 292, Patterson, NY 12563.
