Cathy Vee (Corbett) Gray

Cathy Vee (Corbett) Gray, 60, of Brookville, PA, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, due to a brief illness at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on March 5, 1962, to the late Donald Lee and Marilyn “Sis” (Edeburn) Corbett in Brookville, PA. Anyone who was blessed to know Cathy, knows that she began everyday with a smile on her face, despite how she felt when her feet landed on the floor. She was the bravest, strongest, most independent, fun-loving individual that never let her health slow her down. Cathy’s strength and perseverance will forever go unmatched. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends more than anything. She enjoyed spending time “out at camp”, where she visited her extended family from Ohio. Cathy enjoyed mowing, tending to her flower gardens, and hanging with her grandkids every chance she got. Cathy very rarely missed an activity the “kiddos” were in. Her girls and grandkids were her true pride and joy. Cathy is survived by two daughters; April (Sean) Weidow of Brookville, PA, and Lisa (Jimmy) Kessler of Brookville, PA, and their father; Randy Gray; two grandkids; Carter and Ava Kessler; one sister; Sherrie (Phil) Setzer of Moscow, PA; niece; Kelly Setzer; and great – nephew; Hunter. Cathy is also survived by her beloved kitty, Gracie, and dog, Tinkerbell. Cathy is preceded in passing by her parents. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 4pm – 8pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am officiated by Pastor Jim Fillhart. Final interment will take place at the Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to an organization of the donor’s choice.
