Beth Ann (Matusky) Javens

Beth Ann (Matusky) Javens, 45, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away surrounded by family on August 6, 2022, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1977, to John and Barbara (Harriger) Matusky in DuBois, PA. Beth graduated from DuBois Area High School with the class of 1996. Beth was an occupational therapist assistant and held a position she loved at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA, until 2020. Beth married the love of her life, Todd Michael Javens, on October 13, 2001, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Reynoldsville; Todd survives her. Beth attended the Soldier Community Church with her family. Beth was an incredibly active person who especially loved to run. In addition to her own athletics Beth loved to attend her children’s sporting events, including baseball and soccer games, and swim meets. Beth loved the outdoors and specifically enjoyed outings with her family, whether they were camping or having fun on the water in their boat. She was an immensely caring person and showed this in her career and in her home. Beth loved her family more than anything, she took every opportunity she had to share her time with them and will be dearly missed by all those whose lives’ she touched. In addition to her husband and parents, Beth is survived by three children; Dru Javens; Cole Javens; Blake Javens; and four siblings; Amy Matusky; Jill (Alan) Moore; Sam Jerrell; and Justin Jerrell. Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 1pm to 3pm at the Soldier Community Church, 762 Reynoldsville Skyesville Rd., Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A memorial service will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 3pm and officiated by Pastor Kevin Brooks.
